Application Details
Cellular Grout Production Services produces quality floor fills specified by engineers. This includes performance criteria of fire resistance and sound control at a competitive cost. Its unique system of air cells encapsulated within a cement/grout matrix is widely accepted over metal, wood, and pre-cast concrete decks in garden and mid-rise apartments, condominiums, office buildings and for building rehabilitation.
Cellular floor fills provide benefits of sound conditioning, improved fire resistance, and a solid flooring base resulting in an economical underlayment material. Cellular floor fill is produced with a slurry design provided to the local Redimix producer delivered to the site. The foam is added to the truck and then once density is achieved the truck moves to the pumping area and the next truck is foamed quickly and efficiently as the prior trucks material is installed by trained and experienced applicator crews. This installation does not disrupt other trades.
Cellular floor fills are custom designed for compressive strengths of 1000+ psi. Or at a low density filler of 250 psi. Cellular Grout provides a solid base for finish flooring materials. The Cellular material is not damaged by water. Once the floor fill has set, neither water spillage nor rain will damage the floor. Cellular floor fills have been evaluated by major building code evaluation services - BOCA, ICBO, SBCCI PST & ESI - over wood subfloors replacing the second layer of wood flooring in wood frame construction.
